I wasnt present in the Milwaukee, WI Summit. However, the topic of technical assistance and education to small business owners catches my attention because its importance for the social development of the Hispanic community in the United States.
In order to promote education, assistance to small business owners and development, the Hispanic community needs to have acces to capital and training. Yet, capital and training are not the only answer. The community should also take advantage of the qualities inherent derived from people´s social relationship because human interaction can also affect the economic, social and political life of society. The Hispanic community itself is a "social capital". Precisely, the promotion of specialized forums, summits, and online focused groups, such as the ones held
in La Plaza, can contribute to achieve this goal.
